WHAT: 4-WEEK SERIES TRANSITIONING TO A PLANT-BASED LIFESTYLE
WHEN: NEW COURSE BEING OFFERED IN JANUARY 2025. THURSDAYS 1/9, 1/16, 1/23 and 1/30/25.

WHERE: The Vegan Center, 60 Broad Street, Tonawanda
WHY: Take control of your health! Learn the benefits of living plant-based! Get the support you need to transition to and maintain a plant-based lifestyle.
DETAILS: This 4-part series will include plant-based nutrition, cooking, shopping, reading food labels, and meal planning. Each week we will focus on a different aspect of plant-based living. By the end of the series, you will have the tools you need to maintain a plant-based lifestyle. We will offer a lecture for 40 minutes that will include a Zoom option. Onsite, we will cater instruction to meet the needs of the students. Students who attend in person will have the opportunity for personalized discussion and assistance with their transition.
WHO: ANYONE! This class is for everyone, regardless of which stage you are in on your plant-based transition. If you are already vegan, but want to clean up your diet, this class is for you. If you are "veg curious", this class is for you. If you are just starting your transition to plant-based living, this class is for you. If you need support sticking with your plant-based diet, this class is for you. If you just want to improve your health and do not know where to start, this class is for you. While there are general concepts that will be explored, this class will be catered to fit the needs of the students.

She has been a community education instructor for three years.
Learn how to make a plant-based dish. It is easy to cook plant-based when you know a few basic things. In this course, we will experiment with beans, grains, vegetables, tempeh, herbs and spices, and more! Students will get to sample the dish and will receive a copy of the recipe. We will also discuss plant-based nutrition, cooking with herbs and spices, vegan substitutes, and more.
This class is being held in partnership with Ken-Ton Community Education. Pre-registration is REQUIRED.
